Business Development Associate

We founded one of the first new media agencies in 1992, one of the first dot com practices in 1994 and one of the first social media agencies in 2005. While many marketers simply bolt social channels onto traditional campaigns, we understand that social is more than just channels. It’s a set of behaviors - habits and routines - based on the innate need to share and socialize. These series of interlocking actions and reactions relate to content connecting the entire customer journey. The journey is ubiquitously technological and inherently social.

The Business Development Associate helps the business development process. He/she will work under general supervision from the Chief Marketing Officer. Specific tasks include project managing the new business process and pipeline report, creating and revising presentation decks and managing the agency’s social channels.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

General Job Duties

  • Develop proposal and pitch materials, including case studies, initial POV on prospective clients’ business, strategic presentations, and all written components of a proposal.
  • Project manage pitch process, including assessing initial opportunities, collaborating with key internal stakeholders on pitch deliverables, interfacing with prospective clients, and creating written RFP responses.
  • Understand client business goals and strategic imperatives and help the pitch team develop strategic deliverables including written and creative assignments that represent the client’s needs.
  • Prioritize a variety of projects on an ongoing basis based on business needs.
  • Manage the agency’s owned and earned channels, by leveraging internal and external resources
  • Possess ambitious and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Embrace new challenges where no previous precedence has been set before
  • Drive to result
  • Be fearless but not blind. Know when to move on with lessons learned and when to go all in
  • Inspire others to take risks and teach them to manage those risks tightly
To qualify for a Business Development Associate role at Attention, an individual needs to possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in agency environment
  • Deep understanding of social media and platform news and management
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative and detail oriented
  • Working knowledge of Powerpoint and Keynote is a must
  • Working knowledge of adobe creative suite programs is a plus
